On the application, ICO may inform you of ‘inconsistent measurements’ or ‘inconsistent or invalid data’. This means that the latest measurements taken give abnormal results. Here's a more detailed explanation of these messages and how to deal with them.
Inconsistent or invalid data
This message appears on the dashboard when ICO detects that at least one of the last measurements taken seems abnormal.
For example, a pH below 5 or above 10.
In this case, the colour of the pH measurement is grey and no value is displayed. The Water Index or Bathing Index is also greyed out because it cannot be calculated if one of the indicators is missing.

Inconsistent measures
If the measurements remain inconsistent for several hours, ICO will send you a recommendation and a notification if the measurements are activated.
"Inconsistent measures” notification
When measurements are inconsistent, you will receive this notification. Please click to access the recommendation to find out more.

" Inconsistent measures” recommendation
When ICO detects several inconsistent measurements over several hours, it sends you this recommendation. This problem can be linked to two different elements: the cleanliness of the probes or the alkalinity of the water. When you click on the 3 small dots at the top right of the recommendation, ICO explains in detail.

Check sensor status
Sensor cleanliness: remove the bottom cover to check that your sensors are clean. If not (presence of greasy film, slight mold, leaf debris, etc.): without unscrewing them from your ICO, clean them very carefully using clear water. You can use your fingers or a soft sponge to lightly scrub if really necessary. Once you've screwed the bottom cover back on, quickly put your ICO back in the water.
Check water alkalinity
If the inconsistent measurement concerns the pH, check the TAC (alkalinity) of your pool water. A TAC too high or too low can interfere with pH measurements. This can lead to inconsistent measurements (significant oscillations between two measurements, low, unstable pH, difficult to correct).
